red pepper relish (a crock pot recipe!) |

You will need: 2 large red bell peppers, cut into thin strips 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced 3 tablespoons cider vinegar 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 tablespoon honey 1/4 teaspoon each: salt, dried thyme leaves, red pepper flakes, black pepper 1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker, mix well. 2. Cover and cook on LOW 4 hours. Serve relish on toasted baguette slices as an appetizer; serve with grilled lamb, pork, chicken, or beef; or use as a topper for burgers or sausages. back to recipe archive |
