mom's bbq pork spareribs |

You will need: 1 cup ketchup 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon tobasco sauce 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1/8 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 cup water 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard 2-3 pounds country style pork spareribs (w/ or w/o bones, you decide) 2-3 large onions, cut into 1 inch chunks 2 cups peeled, chopped carrots 4 medium potatoes, quartered 1. Combine first 7 ingredients in an oven proof pan (dutch oven). Mix well. 2. Add the spareribs, onions, carrots, and potatoes. Stir until everything is well coated with sauce. 3. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. 4. Uncover the last 1/2 hour of cooking time. Serves 4. |
